From here, the Managing Director and central functions such as Legal, HR, Finance, and IT coordinate worldwide operations. The Operations team in Germany is alsoresponsible for auditing and certifying all Fairtrade traders in Europe, ensuring compliance.

As the administrative centre of the company, the German office ensures alignment across all regional offices and supports global consistency in auditing, certification, and stakeholder engagement. It plays a critical role in safeguarding credibility and in driving the organisation’s mission as the dedicated Fairtrade certification body.
